Which types of guitars qualify for a free restring?
Only standard 6-string acoustic and electric guitars in playable condition are eligible.

Which instruments are not eligible for this restring event?
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer free restrings for bass, classical, 12-string, ukuleles and locking tremolo guitars at this event.

How many guitars can I bring?
One guitar per family.

What if I prefer different strings than the ones provided for free?
We understand if you have a preferred brand or gauge. In this case, you are welcome to bring or purchase your favorite strings, and we'll still restring your guitar for free.

What if my guitar needs a setup or is in poor condition?
Due to the tremendous response on Free Restring Days, we are unable to provide complete setups or perform extensive repairs. For pricing and information regarding setups, check out our SERVICE PAGE. Although it rarely happens, we reserve the right to refuse guitars for any reason.

We have a limited number of strings for this event. Guitars are restrung in the order they arrive.
