Originating in Brazil, Tigerwood is a dense wood with a reddish hue and a VERY stripey grain pattern that separates itself from the pack visually.  These guitars feature all the greatest hits of our 200 DLX series – a glossy, torrefied sitka spruce top, white binding, ES2 electronics, hardshell case, etc, but with a SATIN finish on the back, sides, and neck that, combined with the Tigerwood, gives a very unique appearance.

Tonally, Tigerwood has a more articulate and focused low end due to its density with a full midrange and what has been described as ‘rampant’ trebles that will help cut through a mix.  It’s nickname is “Brazilian Koa” for all these reasons.
