Mad Custom Electronics is a boutique builder with more than two decades of experience creating and customizing musical equipment including tube and transistor amplifiers, effects pedals, digital signal processors, and studio recording gear such as tube preamplifiers and condenser microphones. Our mission is to provide musicians with the highest quality, hand-built gear, that inspires them every time they use it.
- About the pedal:
The Aurum Overdrive Pedal was born of the idea to give guitarists the most expansive palette of sounds in the smallest form factor possible. Based on the bones of the classic UK overdrive pedal from the early 90s, with many improvements to suit modern musicians' needs. The tone section has been developed to go from a neutral to a mid-focused response, thanks to the tone knobs and the Bass Enhancer switch.
Clipping stages in conjunction with the Drive knob allow the user to go from a Clean Boost to a harmonically rich Distortion, with various shades of tube-like Overdrive in between.
The Aurum is hand built with high-quality components and is pedalboard-friendly thanks to top-mounted audio jacks and power supply input.
