When you think vintage rock tone, the first thing that comes to mind is the Marshall 100 watt all-valve Super Lead amp heads of the mid to late 1960s ('67-'69) that featured the famed Plexiglas front panel. To the minds and ears of many, these amps are considered to be the holy grail of great rock tone, and today, Marshall takes you back to that celebrated era with the handwired 1959HW amp head.

The Marshall 1959HW remains faithful to the 'Plexi' DNA that made the originals instant classics. It dishes out 100 watts of all tube power and delivers those coveted tonal qualities of the early 'Plexis'. Crank it up and overdrive the power valves to produce those sweet, ultra-responsive, harmonically rich tones, with chest-punching projection. For tons of sonic possibilities, this dual channel amp comes equipped with shared presence, bass, middle, and treble controls. Each channel employs independent volume controls as well as high- and low-sensitivity inputs that will adapt to any guitar pickup. Catering to the authenticity of the 1959HW, Marshall makes use of the original thickness, original pitch matrix, and because the transformers are an essential ingredient to the 'Plexi' sound, Marshall has also worked closely with Dagnall to replicate the later era 'Plexi' power transformer.

The Marshall 1959HW combines the best features from both the early and later 'Plexi' models to give players a reissue that is truly awesome. Includes power cable and speaker cable.
