Coil Tapping!
Description
What makes this guitar special: A marvelous creation from the early days of Gibson Custom Shop, this cool looking ES-347 offers some really cool features from the period, such as a Gibson tremolo bridge with locking nut & a coil tap for the double humbuckers. It plays & sounds great!
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear with a cool vintage look - very few nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, but not very much. The sunburst finish looks fantastic throughout. There are no issues with the guitar structurally or electronically. Overall it has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with locking nut. Gibson tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" brass nut; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is functioning.
Body: Double-bound, semi-hollow maple body with dual F-holes. Gibson tremolo bridge with adjustable roller saddles. The trem arm is original. 5-ply black pickguard shows some pick wear, but is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 7 oz.
Pickups: Original Gibson humbuckers with black bezels. Bridge - 15.08K ohms; Neck - 15.05K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black speed knobs; 3-way toggle switch; mini toggle for coil tap. All electronics are in good working condition.
